CONSEQUENCES OF CHANGING TEMPERATURES OF EARTH

Our Earth's Temperature Changes over Time.

During the Ice Age

the ice at the north and south poles was more voluminous than at present and vegetation between the poles was flourishing.

During the Ice Age the geographical nature of our earth was different than at present.

The increased volume of ice at the North and South Poles occurred in the same period that the volume of sea water diminished leaving large areas of earth exposed which facilitated migration of humans from continent to continent.

Present desserts were lush with fauna and flora.

Then came the Industrial Revolution with the production of Machinery and Transportation Vehicles which used large amounts of fossil fuel. 

The burning of these fuels such as coal and oil, generated large amounts of carbon dioxide which was in excess of what the flora could absorb and turn into oxygen.

This excess of carbon dioxide exacerbated by the spewing out of methane, carbon dioxide and other gases from volcanic action upset the healthy balance of the original gas mixture, causing the earth's atmosphere to heat up. This scenario is the cause of our present global warming dilemma.

The huge volume of ice at the poles started to melt and the level of the oceans rose and are still rising.

If we do not reverse the melting of our ice caps, rising water levels will occupy more and more land as time goes by and desserts will expand.

The lives of all living creatures and vegetation is at stake if this global warming is not stopped soon.

The delicate balance between carbon dioxide production 

by human activity and the absorbtion thereof by plant life   

is exacerbated by the over population of our fragile earth.

Each human being, animal and other creature needs oxygen to survive. We must of necessity reduce our carbon footprints immediately to prevent the dire consequences that will affect our future existence on earth.

What is our carbon footprint?

It is the combined amount of carbon dioxide produced by a human beings and all animals and living creatures.

Your personal carbon footprint relates to your proportional usage and production.

Your use relates to your proportional usage of an aircraft, train, bus, ship or other means of conveyance and  electricity powered by coal or oil derivatives.

To prevent the above scenario from becoming a disaster.

We must first of all control our population explosion by limiting the amount of children per couple.

We must walk or cycle where possible.

Where possible, we must use windmills, solar power and wave power to generate electricity.

We must plant trees and other vegetation to absorb the excess carbon emissions and generate oxygen through the process of photosynthesis.

Put bluntly all humans must work together to save our planet for ourselves and posterity.

Here is a final thought.

All humans, animals and other living creatures emit carbon dioxide and methane gas by the process of breathing and passing wind.

Creating a balance between the production of carbon dioxide and the production of oxygen is essential for our future existence
